D.Pharma or Diploma in Pharmacy at Aryans College of Pharmacy is a two years undergraduate full time Diploma course approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to PSBTE(Punjab State Board of Technical Education), Chandigarh The course provides the minimum qualification to become a registered Pharmacist in India.
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy course- A pass in any of the following examinations with Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
- Intermediate examination in science.
- The first year of the three year degree course in science.
- 10+2 examination (academic stream) in science.
- Pre-degree examination.
- Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
Diploma in Pharmacy certificate holders may start practicing as pharmacists in India. They may work at drug stores in Government hospitals, private hospitals, clinics, community health centres or private drug stores. Other than working for hospitals or private drug stores, D.Pharma certificate holders may even start their own private drug store. Other than working right after completing D.Pharma course, one may also go for further studies (B.Pharma, Pharma.D, M.Pharma. etc).
