Aryans gears up for International Yoga Day

Members of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh including Aryans College of Engineering (ACE), Aryans Business School (ABS), Aryans Institute of Management & Technology (AIMT), Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Aryans College of Law (ACL), Aryans College of Education (ACE), Aryans Degree College, Aryans College of Pharmacy (ACP) etc today geared up for International Yoga Day with Pre celebrations at its Campus.
The celebrations proceeded on the theme ‘Yoga for Peace’ hopes to highlight yoga’s holistic approach to both physical and mental well-being and its ability to create a balance between body and mind. The programme started with the introduction and practice sessions where participants were introduced to Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation. Short demonstrations and practice sessions were also held.
Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Director, Aryans Group addressed the team members and displayed various asanas which encourage them to know the science of yoga deeply. She also expressed her hope that this day will mark the day where all in Institute community will take advantage of the wonderful science & techniques of yoga and benefit from it as the rest of the world is doing too.
It is to be mentioned that, in 2014, the United Nations declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the day to be adopted as a global celebration of yoga. Last year the day was held in 199 countries across the World.
Aryans College of Law to start B.Com-LL.B Course

Sidhu added that in CLAT 2018, Around 58000 students appeared for 2300 seats in 19 National Universities of Law in India & in 5 Years Law Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University on 7th June, around 5300 students appeared for 360 seats. Over 250 candidates shortlists by over 25 companies in 40th Aryans Job Fest>

Top recruiters including Paytm, Pumpkart along with 25 more companies today participated in 40th Aryans Job Fest held at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Over 250 candidates got shortlisted by over 25 companies out of over 2500 walk-ins in the fest.
"Paytm had added 20 million new customers since the Government's move to demonetize old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes and proportionality the ratio of new recruitments have got increased" while started with just Rs 20,000 in 1998 and grown upto Rs 30-35 cr the largest online pump store in India-Pumpkart has shifted their approach to Technology, Digitalization and e-commerce. This was quoted by the company representatives while addressing the students.

Aryans celebrates its 12th Foundation Day

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura today organized a Tree Plantation Drive.S. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Hon’ble Forest & Wildlife Minister was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Director Tourism was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
The function was organized on the occasion of 12th Foundation Day of Aryans Group along with the closing ceremony of World Environment Week.
Sadhu Singh after the tree plantation congratulated the Staff and Management of Aryans Group for completing 11 Years in Education Sector and stepping into 12th Academic Year. Minister said it’s a good initiative taken by Aryans to carry out the Plantation Drive on this day.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans celebrates the birthday of Mrs Rajni Kataria (Co-founder), beloved mother of Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman & Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General of Aryans Group as the Foundation Day every year.
Dharamsot stressed upon the need to protect and save trees, forests and to plant more trees to ameliorate the environment. He elaborated on the environmental issues concerning plastic pollution to the climate change and measures to combat climate change by tree plantation.
Sh. Jitender Yadav while speaking on the occasion said that Chandigarh is the greenest & Cleanest City in India. He said that everyone has a responsibility towards protecting the environment and leave a clean and sustainable environment for the future generations. He also appealed to minimize use of plastic bags and replace them with biodegradable carry bags.
Dr. Anshu Kataria thanked all its stakeholders, professionals, team members etc for their support in past years. Kataria added that Aryans has constantly added values by incorporating the best technical practices and philosophies to bridge the gap between education through books and the practical realities so that the students are fully equipped to deliver their best.

Shivani Rajput of Aryans shines in LL.B Results

Shivani Rajput (Ambala), Haryana of LL.B bagged 1st position by scoring 82% in final examination at Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala.
Other 3 Students namely Darshan Kumar (Rajpura), Punjab bagged 2nd position by scoring 80% while Namarta Das (Assam), and Mandeep Kaur (Patiala), Punjab bagged 3rd position by scoring 78% in LL.B (3 Years).

Aryans Institute of Nursing celebrates World No Tobacco Day

Students of Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh today celebrated World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) under the theme “Tobacco Breaks Hearts”. The program aimed to highlight the health and other risks associated with tobacco use and advocate for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.
The students linked the awareness between tobacco and heart and other cardiovascular diseases (CVD); including stroke which is the world’s leading causes of death & feasible actions and measures that audience, government and the public can take to reduce the risks to heart health posed by tobacco.
Dr. Suhwinder Jeet Singh appreciated this step of Nursing students and staff for spreading awareness among the common people of the society. Dr. Jeet told various actions which can be taken by the people and health organizations to prevent the problems caused by the tobacco to the heart
It is to be mentioned that tobacco use contributes to approximately 17% of all heart disease deaths. The global tobacco epidemic kills more than 7 million people each year, of which close to 900 000 are non-smokers dying from breathing second-hand smoke.
AICTE selects Aryans for Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY)

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi has selected Aryans College of Engineering (ACE), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh for Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) - an initiative by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.
AICTE has allotted Jansua Village of Patiala district to Aryans College of Engineering under the SAGY.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group thanked AICTE & Saansad Gram Yojana for giving this responsibility to Aryans.
Kataria said that under this project with the intervention of Technology Aryans would develop more modes of Education, skills, employment opportunities etc so that the Gram Jansua can be brought into the mainstream of the Society.
Kataria further added that Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) has taken this initiative to reform the Villages of the Country with the technological intervention with the help to AICTE. In this project few Technical Institutions have been selected by AICTE to adopt the villages for their transformation.
Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana is a rural development programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community.

Ramadhan App re-launches by JK students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh

To serve the Muslim community for time management during Ramadhan starting from 17th May, Four Aryans JK girls of Computer science branch of Aryans College of Engineering have re-launched “Ramadhan APP”. The necessary changes according to the Ramadhan Kareem-2018 have been made in the App
The app would help to solve the problem of Muslim community during Ramadhan for their fasting. The app has been updated with the Morning Sehar time and evening Iftar time as per the Ramadhan Kareem.The app featured an automatic alarm which would buzz in the morning at Sehar time to awake them and in evening at the Iftar time to remind them for their meals. The app is available on Google Play Store.
B. Tech students namely Mehwish Rashid & Bisma Parveen who hail from Srinagar while Pooja Safaya and Mansi Salaria who hail from Jammu have set a true example of Religious Beliefs, universal brotherhood and respect for the religion of each other by developing this app which would help the entire community for time Management.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that Aryans has always motivated its students for the innovations and work on live projects which could bring a revolution in them and the society. He said that Kashmiri students possess the instinct to work in this direction and hence they have always been supported for their ideas.
Students while speaking said that this app would solve the problem of those Muslim people who find tough to match the variations in sehar time in the auspicious month of Ramadan due to various physical or biological factors. Though it’s a small initiative from our side for our community added JK girls.
It is to be mentioned that earlier to this, four major innovations done by Aryans students namely “Aryans Android App” in lieu to make campuses paper free, “Aryans Save Kashmir App” which was developed for the rescue operation at the time of floods in Kashmir, “ Aryans Life Saving Glove” developed to provide timely assistance to the people prone to the risk of cardiac disease, “Aryans Safety Helmet” to provide timely first aid facility in case disaster happens at construction/ mining/ industrial sites, “eMunshi- Advocate Diary” Android App which will buzz an alarm and remind the lawyers about the important Court Date and cases etc were launched and applauded at various Government Levels and gained interest of many people.
It is worth mentioning that Aryans has emerged as a popular destination for the JK students. Aryans is the only campus near Chandigarh outside Kashmir having majority of JK students. Over 1800 JK students from various parts of Kashmir are studying in Aryans in various courses including B.Tech, Leet, LL.B, BA-LLB, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc (Agri), GNM, ANM, B.Ed, MA(Edu), B. Aryans Institute of Nursing celebrates International Nurses Day

Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated International Nurses day under the theme “Nurses A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human right” at Aryans Campus. GNM and ANM students of Aryans Institute of Nursing participated in the various activities organized on the occasion.
The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony. Students organized oath ceremony, Rangoli Competition, Cultural activities etc on the theme to mark the celebration and exhibit their responsibilities towards the society.
Nursing students while taking oath pledged to serve the society with their profession during their studies as well as after the completion of their course. The students also took oath to uphold the values of their Nursing profession.
Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group while speaking on the occasion said that nurses had a significant role in society and the profession of nursing was the noblest of all as it was entirely serving the humanity.
Ms Neha Thakur, HOD, Aryans Institute of Nursing highlighted the role of nurses how the pressure had been building on nurses as professionals and how they should cope with it. She said in the coming days there would be more challenges as the demand for better health and patient care is rising day by day.It is to be mentioned that Nurses day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing.
Canadian Delegation visits Aryans Group of Colleges

To create more opportunities for the students in higher education abroad for the students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, a delegation comprising of Canadian University delegates and experts from the field of education visited Aryans Campus. Mr.Manoj Patki, Managing Director, Staar United Group was the keynote speaker on the occasion.
The objective of the program was not only to assist students in expanding their awareness in regard to the opportunities available globally, but to offer precise guidance of how they can fulfil such aspirations with minimum financial and time loss.
Manoj Patki while interacting with the students briefed about the opportunities available in Canada including credit transfer programs whereby students will receive direct entry into the third or the fourth year of the degree programs helping the students to reduce the overall cost of education in Canada.
Patki added that students got eligible for a three-year work permit in Canada upon completion of their degree, as per the current regulations. A number of students who receive a three-year Canadian work permit succeed in securing employment in Canada and can apply for Permanent Residency in Canada.

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh gets Nod for Pharmacy College

Aryans Group of Colleges has been given approval to start Pharmacy College.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi has given approval to Aryans for 4 years B.Pharma course and 2 years D.Pharma course.
Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi has already given its nod to Aryans for B.Pharma and D.Pharma course.
AICTE vide its letter no. North-West/2018/ 1-3763642381 dated 30.04.2018 has alloted 100 seats of B.Pharma and 60 seats of D.Pharma.
Dr.Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans College of Pharmacy said that we are thankful to AICTE and PCI for giving green signal to start Pharmacy College. He Further added that over 13 lakhs medical aspirants appeared in NEET Exam this year , but number of seats available for medical aspirants are very less.

Aryans Group organized Seminar on Job Opportunities for Fresher’s in International Market

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a seminar on “Job opportunities for Fresher’s in International Market” at its campus. Mr. Rajpal Singh Sagoo, General Manager, International Sales & Marketing (Central Asia), Health Care Business was the key note speaker. Fresher students of Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, Agriculture, Diploma etc attended the seminar.
Rajpal Sagoo said that the basic motive of the seminar was to widen the arena of knowledge of students regarding various job opportunities for fresher’s in International Market and guide them how to capture those opportunities.
Sagoo motivated the students about Career Planning during the studies & urged them to “Earn while Learn” in the pace of foreign Universities. He further added the students should join Summer Internship Programs to learn about this.

Aryans College of Engineering organized workshop & seminar on Internet Security

Computer Science engineering (CSE) department of Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a workshop and seminar on Networking & Role and Importance of Internet. Students of CSE and BCA attended the program.
Dr. Abhinav Bhandari, Associate Professor, CSE Department, Punjabi University, Patiala & Er. Rajeev Prashar, Head Manager, A2IT Soft ZCC Group were the Guest speakers on the occasion.
Dr. Abhinav outlined the importance of database management systems, importance of protecting databases, the challenges faced and various solutions used to tackle these challenges
Er. Rajeev Prashar explained the topic cyber security, importance of cyber security using examples of scenarios we are used to in daily life – using social networks like Facebook and Instagram etc. He spoke in great depth about how one should take privacy and security of personal data seriously in this age of social media.
The seminar was also followed by a Live Demo session of Exchange of Data, Sharing of Data safely within an area through Local Area Network (LAN).
Interactive session on Transgenic and Medicinal plants organized by Agriculture Dept of Aryans Group

Agriculture Department at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized an interactive session on Transgenic and medicinal plants at its Campus. Prof. R.C Gupta of Botany Department from Punjabi University, Patiala was the Guest speaker on the occasion. Students of B.Sc (Agriculture) participated in the session.
Prof. R.C Gupta while interacting with the students described the concept of Transgenic Plants, Genetically Modified Organism (GMO), Genetically Modified Food, Risks and Precautions of Genetically Modified Organisms etc to the students, Medicinal Plants etc.
Prof. Gupta mentioned that transgenic plants are Genetically Modified Plants with the most desirable characteristics specially to enhance plant's resistance to a disease, insect or drought, a plant's tolerance to herbicides, improving a food's quality or nutritional value, increased yield using techniques of modern biotechnology called gene technology.
Prof Gupta further described about the characteristics & importance of Medicinal plants which are in use since ancient times to cure diseases. The use of black pepper, cinnamon, Turmeric, peppermint, cloves, aloe, Tulsi, Green Tea etc were also mentioned.
Aryans students shines in IKG-PTU, Jalandhar & Punjabi University, Patiala

2 students of Aryans College of Engineering (ACE), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh namely Shahid Ul Islam and Amandeep Singh have excelled in the merit list of IKG-PTU, Jalandhar. On the other hand B.Com (5th Sem) students of Aryans Degree College have given 100% result.
Amandeep Singh (Patiala), Punjab bagged 1st position by scoring 82% in B.Tech Electrical & Electronics Engineering, 2012-16 Batch while Shahid Ul Islam (Anantnag), Srinagar bagged 5th position by scoring 83% in B.Tech Civil Engineering, 2013-17 Batch.
While 3 students of B.Com (5th Sem) 2015 Batch including Prabhjit Kaur (Kapurthala), Punjab bagged 1st position by scoring 78.9%, Manpreet Kaur (Rajpura), Punjab bagged 2nd position by scoring 76.1%, Lachhami (Rajpura), Punjab bagged 3rd position by scoring 74.9% at College level.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while congratulating the students and faculty for the hard work said that Aryans students are competing & shining in every field like academics, sports, innovations, cultural etc with lakhs of students of affiliating University.
Kataria further added that this is a result of scientific approach, extended inputs on part of faculty and the desire to excel on a continuous basis.

White Global and Aryans Group of Colleges organized a short marathon at Srinagar

The White Global Charitable Trust in association with Aryans group of colleges is organized a short marathon of 3 kms approximately named as "TAARUK-Run for a Reason" in cognizance with awareness of depression and acceptance of Autism.

Dr. Arshid pandit senior scientist, recipient of National Award, Manjot Singh Kohli, National Secretary Human Rights Watch Mr. Basant Rath, IG traffic were the Guests of Honour in marathon.The winners were awarded with cash prizes and cash coupons.
The event was focused on spreading positivity as a tool to help overcome depression and aware society about the acceptance of autism. The society needs to nurture the children as artistic rather than autistic.

Infact in our Judiciary system an advocate and his Munshi have to maintain and remember the lot of record of their forthcoming case dates.
To ease the lawyers in maintaining the Court hearing records, students of “Aryans College of Law” with the help of students of “Aryans College of Engineering”, Near Chandigarh have jointly developed a Legal Tech Startup- an Android App which will buzz an alarm and remind the lawyers about the important Court Date and cases.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while speaking on the occasion said that to
develop this app, not only Aryans Law students but also Aryans Engineering students have worked hard in last 3-4 months.In this app the content part has been developed by Aryans Law students while Technical part has been developed by Aryans Engineering students.
“Various other similar apps were also studied to overcome the shortcomings in those apps so that a refined and updated app can be developed”, Kataria added.
Kataria while congratulating the students and staff said that Hope this small effort done by these students would meet the expectations of lawyers and law students.

12 Thousand Students of the tricity appeared in JEE Main

Around 11.50 Lac students have registered for JEE Main 2018; Around 10 Lakh for offline mode & Over 1.5 lakh for online mode
12 Thousands JEE Main aspirants of the tricity appeared in JEE Main exam conducted by central board of secondary education(CBSE) in total 36 centres in Chandigarh. Around 10 Lakh students from all across the Country have appeared in JEE Main exam in 248 cities across 36 states and union territories and towns in the Country for admission in engineering colleges, including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and some other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs)
Gursewak Singh from Ropar and Priya from Yamunanagar while interacting said that the exam was distributed into three sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having 30 questions in each section. They shared that Physics and Maths section was tough and lengthy while Chemistry part was easy.

Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans College of Engineering while speaking said that despite of hard work, many students couldn’t get seat in IIT’s or in engineering colleges through the counseling and drop their studies either due to non availability of seats or due to lack of resources or financial constraints. Considering this, Aryans has taken this JEE scholarship initiative in which 50% scholarship will be provided by Aryans and rest 50% will be financed in the shape of education loan.
Sidhu further added that 200 students would be selected from all over the Country under this scholarship scheme under merit and means basis and scholarship worth of Rs 3.20 crore would be given by Aryans to the needy and deserving students at Aryans.
